Under Armour was founded in 1996 by a former University of Maryland football player. This originator of performance apparel began with an idea for a compression t-shirt that could regulate body temperature and enhance athletic performance. Under Armour products also help to wick perspiration away from the skin without absorbing the sweat itself.
